Dave and Barb, Roger Walck and Don Wharton will appear in concert at Risen Savior Lutheran Church at 3:00pm on Sunday, February 19th. The concert will be their first appearance together for many years.
On August 13th, 1993, while returning to Alaska from an evangelistic and humanitarian mission in the Russian Far East, Dave, Barb, Don and four others survived a plane crash in the Bering Sea. They are the only survivors of a plane crash in the Bering Sea or the Arctic Ocean. Their helicopter rescue has been described as the most dramatic air/sea rescue in aviation history. This dramatic story has been heard on Focus on the Family and on dozens of appearances on radio and television programs in America and Australia. Dave and Don’s books and DVDs about this story will be available at the concert.
In addition to a great deal of music, the concert will feature Dave, Barb and Don sharing highlights from this dramatic story.
The concert at Risen Savior is open to the public. A free-will offering will be received in support of the Shepherd’s Canyon Retreat ministry. Refreshments will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
